Sports Dept Pulwama Organises Multiple Events under NMBA
Pulwama, Apr 25: As part of the ongoing 100-day campaign under Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, District Administration Pulwama, in collaboration with the Department of Youth Services and Sports, today organised a series of sports events and activities across all eight educational zones of the district.
The activities were aimed at promoting a healthy and drug-free lifestyle among youth and students by actively engaging them in constructive and competitive pursuits.
Various events were conducted across all zones under the supervision of concerned Zonal Physical Education Officers (ZPEOs) and other officials of the department.
The competitions included football trials, cricket matches, chess, volleyball and softball events, witnessing enthusiastic participation from a large number of student players.
The outstanding performers in different categories were awarded medals and certificates as a token of appreciation and encouragement.
The Department of Youth Services and Sports, Pulwama, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Dr Basharat Qayoom, has been playing a pivotal role in the effective implementation of the campaign across the district.
A series of sports activities, competitions, rallies and pledge ceremonies are being organised on a regular basis at zonal and district levels in line with the comprehensive action plan already in place.
These activities aim to keep people physically fit, mentally healthy and socially responsible, while spreading awareness about living a drug-free life among the youth.
