Ruhullah Mehdi expresses grief over Poonch-Rajouri flash flood tragedy, urges swift relief

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — National Conference MP Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi on Sunday expressed solidarity with the people affected by flash floods and heavy rainfall in Rajouri and Poonch districts of Jammu division and called for swift rescue, relief and rehabilitation measures.

In a post on X, Ruhullah Mehdi said the reports emerging from Rajouri and Poonch are deeply distressing and expressed sympathy with all those affected by the devastation caused by the flash floods.

He extended his heartfelt condolences to the families who lost their loved ones, prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured and expressed hope for the safe rescue of those still missing.

Ruhullah said it is imperative that all government agencies ensure prompt rescue operations, timely relief and comprehensive rehabilitation for every affected family without delay.

He also prayed for strength and resilience for the people of Rajouri and Poonch during the difficult time. — (KIMS)
