BJP Members Appeal to Party Leadership to Postpone Protest Programmes Following Rajouri Tragedy

Srinagar, July 19: Several BJP members have appealed to the party leadership to postpone the proposed ‘Lal Chowk Chalo’ and ‘Secretariat Gherao’ programmes in view of the recent tragedy in Rajouri that claimed multiple lives.

In a public appeal, the members urged the leadership to prioritize solidarity with the victims and their families during this difficult time.

“We publicly appeal to our leadership to postpone the Lal Chowk Chalo and Secretariat Gherao programmes in view of the lives lost in Rajouri. This is the time to stand with the bereaved families and all those affected,” the appeal stated.

The members said the focus should remain on supporting the bereaved families and those impacted by the disaster, emphasizing that humanitarian concerns should take precedence during the ongoing crisis.

The BJP leadership has not yet issued an official response to the appeal.
