AIP Expresses Grief Over Poonch-Rajouri Flash Flood Tragedy, Urges Swift Relief Measures
Srinagar, July 19: The Jammu & Kashmir Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives caused by the devastating flash floods in the Poonch and Rajouri districts of Jammu & Kashmir.
In a statement, Sheikh Ashiq, State Secretary of AIP and former President of the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI), extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for eternal peace for those who lost their lives.
The party urged the administration to accelerate rescue and relief operations, ensure proper medical treatment for the injured, and provide immediate compensation and rehabilitation to the families of the deceased as well as those displaced by the disaster.
AIP also appealed to citizens, volunteers, and civil society organizations to come forward and support relief efforts, stating that the party would extend every possible assistance to the affected families and advocate for long-term disaster preparedness measures to minimize the impact of such calamities in the future.
