Two ISI Operatives Arrested for Planning Grenade Attacks, Target Killings in Delhi-NCR
New Delhi: The Special Cell of Delhi Police has arrested two operatives allegedly linked to Pakistan’s intelligence agency (ISI) for plotting grenade attacks and targeted killings in the Delhi-NCR region, officials said on Tuesday.
According to police sources, the accused were acting at the behest of Pakistan-based gangster and alleged ISI proxy Shahzad Bhatti. Investigations revealed a larger criminal conspiracy involving plans to carry out firing incidents, grenade attacks, and high-profile target killings to disrupt law and order in the national capital region.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Rajveer (21) and Vivek Banjara (19), both residents of Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh. They were apprehended by the Special Cell following a targeted operation based on specific intelligence inputs.
Officials said that further investigation is underway to uncover the full extent of the network, including possible handlers, funding sources, and local support systems. Security agencies are also probing potential links to other sleeper cells operating in the region.
The arrests are being seen as a significant breakthrough in preventing possible terror-related activities in Delhi-NCR
