NC workers stage protests across Kashmir for statehood restoration

Srinagar, Jul 20: National Conference workers on Monday staged a protests at district headquarters across Kashmir in support of the demand for restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.

Carrying party flags and placards in support of statehood restoration, the protesters demanded that the Central government fulfil its commitment made in Parliament and Supreme Court on the issue.

Protests were held at Nawai Subuh, the headquarters of National Conference in Srinagar, and other district headquarters, including Anantnag and Baramulla.

The protestors said the restoration of statehood was necessary for effective governance and for upholding the rights of the people. (PTI)
