LG says mission against drugs far from over as J&K marks 100 days of campaign

JAMMU (KIMS) — Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday said the fight against drug abuse and narco-terrorism is far from over, asserting that the administration is determined to dismantle drug cartels and protect the youth from the menace.

Addressing an event organised by the Department of Social Welfare to mark the successful completion of 100 days of the ‘Drug-Free J&K Campaign’, the Lieutenant Governor said the milestone reflects significant progress but stressed that the mission will continue with greater resolve.

He said the administration remains committed to neutralising drug cartels and narco-terror networks by dismantling illicit trafficking ecosystems, strengthening public awareness initiatives, and expanding rehabilitation measures to help affected individuals reintegrate into society.

The Lieutenant Governor said the first 100 days of the campaign have laid a strong foundation for the road ahead, adding that while the challenge remains difficult, the government’s determination to completely eliminate narco-terrorism is stronger than ever. — (KIMS)
