Kashmir College of Engineering & Technology Launches Specialized Boot Camp on Intelligent UAVs
Students to Gain Hands-On Exposure to AI, Autonomous Navigation and Drone Technology

News: Srinagar, Sept 21: Kashmir College of Engineering & Technology (KCET), in collaboration with NIELIT J&K, today inaugurated a specialized boot camp on “Intelligent UAVs” at the college campus, aimed at providing students with practical exposure to emerging drone and AI technologies.
The programme was attended by Masharib Gul Mufti, Principal General Manager, BharatNet and State Head, BBNL under BSNL, as the Chief Guest, while Ashaq Hussain Dar, Director In-Charge, NIELIT J&K, attended as the Guest of Honour. Dr Fayaz Ahmad Fayaz, Joint Director, NIELIT J&K, served as the chief organizer from NIELIT.
Chairman KCET, Retired IPS Raja Ajaz Ali, in his address, highlighted the growing importance of emerging technologies, innovation and industry-oriented technical education. He stressed the need for students to develop practical skills to keep pace with rapidly evolving technological fields.
The Chief Guest, Guest of Honour and Dr Fayaz Ahmad Fayaz also addressed the gathering and highlighted the expanding applications of UAV technology, Artificial Intelligence and autonomous systems. They encouraged students to make the most of such programmes to gain practical expertise and explore emerging career opportunities.
The boot camp will offer hands-on training in intelligent UAVs, Artificial Intelligence, autonomous navigation, computer vision and related technologies. The initiative seeks to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world technological applications while encouraging innovation and skill development among students.
The programme reflects the efforts of KCET and NIELIT J&K to strengthen industry-academia collaboration and provide students with practical exposure to advanced and emerging technologies.
