J&K achieves full literacy under ULLAS scheme; LG congratulates stakeholders
SRINAGAR (KIMS) — Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday announced that the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has achieved the status of a Fully Literate State/UT under the Government of India’s ULLAS scheme.
In a post on X, Sinha said J&K recorded a 99.09 per cent success rate, making it the largest population region in the country to achieve the milestone.
He congratulated teachers, administrators and all stakeholders for their contribution to the achievement, describing education as the truest force of empowerment.
The Lieutenant Governor also called for continuing collective efforts to further strengthen the mission of education across the Union Territory. — (KIMS)
