Govt approves ₹5.78 crore for restoration of historic ‘Lah Wali Bowli’ in Rajouri
JAMMU (KIMS) — The Jammu and Kashmir Government has approved ₹5.78 crore for the comprehensive restoration and preservation of the historic ‘Lah Wali Bowli’ in Rajouri district.
According to a post on X by the Office of the Chief Minister, the conservation project will focus on restoring the architectural features of the historic stepwell while preserving the local cultural identity associated with the site.
The government said the project is also aimed at unlocking new tourism potential in Rajouri and promoting the district’s historical and cultural heritage.
The initiative is expected to contribute towards the preservation of Jammu and Kashmir’s heritage while creating opportunities for tourism development in the region. — (KIMS)
