Delhi Court Rejects Interim Bail Plea of MP Engineer Rashid

Srinagar, April 24: A New Delhi Friday rejected the interim bail application of Baramulla Member of Parliament Engineer Rashid, who had sought temporary release to visit his critically ill father.

AIP leader Sheikh Ashiq told ANN News that the plea was dismissed by the court. He added that release was prayed before court on humanitarian grounds.

In his petition, Engineer Rashid had pleaded before the court that his father is on ventilator support and undergoing treatment in a critical condition and prayed for interim bail to meet him during this medical emergency.

However, the court declined to grant relief, rejecting the plea after consideration of the application.

Er. Rashid still has a remedy available to pray for parole before competent authorities to visit his ailing father.
