Anantnag Police Apprehends Eight Persons for Gambling at Laripora
Pahalgam: Police Station Pahalgam on Saturday apprehended eight persons, all residents of Srinagar, for allegedly indulging in gambling activities along the banks of Lidder Nallah at Laripora in Pahalgam.
According to police, a team from Police Station Pahalgam conducted a raid at the location and apprehended the eight individuals allegedly involved in gambling. During the operation, police recovered and seized ₹19,290 in stake money from the spot.
Police said cognizance of the matter has been taken and further proceedings have been initiated under the relevant provisions of law.
The action is part of the police efforts to curb gambling and other unlawful activities in the Pahalgam area.
