An Inter Coy Sports Event featuring a Volleyball Inter-Coy Tournament was organized at the Battalion Headquarters, 4 JKAP IR, Wayun, Kupwara, from 07 July 2026 to 08 July 2026. The tournament was inaugurated on 07 July 2026 by Shri Ravinder Pal Singh, JKPS, SSP, Commandant 4 JKAP IR, in the presence of officers and personnel of the battalion, and culminated with the final match on 08 July 2026.
The event commenced in a well-organized and disciplined manner, reflecting the high standards of coordination and professionalism within the unit. All participating teams displayed remarkable enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and team spirit during the matches, setting a positive tone throughout the tournament.
The tournament was organized with the objective of promoting physical fitness, mental resilience, discipline, and camaraderie among the personnel. Such sporting events play a vital role in strengthening unity, esprit de corps, and mutual coordination among different companies of the battalion.
The event also carried forward the message of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, emphasizing the importance of a healthy, drug-free lifestyle among personnel. Through active participation in sports and fitness activities, the battalion reaffirmed its commitment towards building a strong, disciplined, and addiction-free force.
On the occasion, the District Sports Officer, Kupwara, along with his team, extended wholehearted cooperation and technical support in the successful organization of the tournament. Their valuable assistance in ensuring the smooth conduct of the event was highly appreciated.
At the conclusion of the tournament on 08 July 2026, the Commandant distributed Certificates of Appreciation and Participation to officers, officials, referees, umpires, organizers, volunteers, and players who displayed outstanding performance, exemplary sportsmanship, and rendered commendable services. While felicitating the recipients, the Commandant appreciated their dedication, discipline, and teamwork, and encouraged all personnel to actively participate in sports as an essential component of physical fitness, professional excellence, and a drug-free lifestyle in line with the vision of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
The event concluded on a high note, fostering healthy competition, mutual respect, and a strong sense of brotherhood among the participating companies, further reinforcing the Battalion’s commitment towards physical fitness, discipline, operational readiness, and a drug-free society.
