NIA Attaches Land of Accused in 2020 Terror Case in Pulwama
Srinagar, Apr 23 : National Investigation Agency has attached a parcel of land belonging to an accused in a 2020 terror-related case in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, officials said on Thursday.
Official sources told news agency Kashmir News Corner (KNC) that the action was carried out in the Abhama-Draklarun area of Rajpora, where an NIA team affixed a public notice at the site. The notice states that an immovable property measuring 03 kanals and 04 marlas has been attached under provisions of law linked to an ongoing investigation.
The property belongs to Tanveer Ahmad Wani alias Bardana, son of Ghulam Ahmad Wani, who is an accused in case RC-01/2020/NIA/JMU. The attachment has been executed under Section 33(1) of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, following an order issued by the Special NIA Court Jammu on January 2, 2026.
Officials said the action forms part of continuing proceedings in the case, which involves allegations of providing logistical support to terrorist elements.
The case, registered by the NIA in 2020, pertains to a conspiracy involving militants and their associates in Jammu and Kashmir. Investigations so far have led to multiple arrests and subsequent legal measures, including attachment of properties linked to the accused. Further proceedings are underway. (KNC)
