Three dead bodies recovered after vehicle goes missing on Mughal Road; Search operation continues
POONCH — In a tragic incident on Mughal Road near Chatta Pani area, three persons have been confirmed dead, with their bodies recovered after a vehicle went missing since May 4.
The deceased have been identified as Shoket Hussain (33), resident of Hari Budha, Abdul Majid, son of Munir Hussain, resident of Mangnar, Poonch, while the identity of the third deceased is being ascertained.
According to officials, the vehicle had gone missing under mysterious circumstances, triggering a massive search operation in the area.
The District Administration, Police, and Health Department Poonch are actively on the job, coordinating efforts to ensure swift rescue and relief operations.
As soon as the incident came to light, the Health Department swung into action. Four ambulances along with dedicated medical teams were rushed to the spot to assist in the rescue operation and provide emergency care.
The entire medical response is being carried out under the close supervision of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Poonch, Dr. Parvaiz Ahmed Khan, who is personally monitoring the situation.
On his directions, Block Medical Officer (BMO) Surankote, Dr. Mohd Yousuf has kept all healthcare facilities on high alert. Medical teams have been deployed both at the incident site and key health institutions including Sub District Hospital Surankote and Government Primary Health Centre Chandimarh.
The joint rescue operation is being carried out by Police, SDRF, and Health Department teams. Search efforts are still underway to trace the remaining missing persons feared to be in the vehicle.
