Senior police officer Imtiyaz Hussain Mir bereaved as father passes away, ANN team extends condolences
Srinagar, May 7: The father of senior police officer Imtiyaz Hussain Mir (IPS) passed away on Thursday at Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura, after a brief illness, family sources said.
He breathed his last at SKIMS earlier today, leaving behind grieving family members, relatives, friends and a large circle of acquaintances.
As news of his demise spread, senior officers from the police and civil administration, colleagues and well-wishers visited the bereaved family and expressed solidarity, while praying for eternal peace to the departed soul.
The funeral prayers are expected to be offered at his native place, where mourners and relatives continue to gather to convey condolences to the family.
