Sakeena Itoo Inaugurates State-of-the-Art DIET Complex in Pampore
PAMPORE, SEPTEMBER 17: Minister for School Education, Higher Education, Health & Medical Education and Social Welfare Sakeena Itoo on Wednesday inaugurated the newly constructed District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Complex at Pampore in Pulwama district.
The state-of-the-art facility has been established to strengthen teacher training, professional development and academic support for educators across the district.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by MLA Pampore, former Justice Hasnain Masoodi, Commissioner Secretary School Education Department Ram Niwas Sharma (IAS), besides senior officers, education officials and other dignitaries.
Speaking on the occasion, Sakeena Itoo emphasised the importance of equipping teachers with modern skills, updated knowledge and adequate resources to improve the overall quality of teaching and learning.
She said the newly inaugurated DIET complex would play an important role in strengthening teacher education and capacity building, besides providing support for innovative pedagogical practices, curriculum development and continuous professional development of teachers.
The facility is expected to provide a dedicated platform for training programmes and academic initiatives aimed at enhancing the professional capabilities of teachers and improving educational outcomes across the district.
