Polyclinic sealed in Pulwama for selling scheduled drugs illegally

Pulwama, April 18: Continuing its sustained drive against illegal drug sale and misuse, Pulwama Police today took strict action against a violator in Dangerpora area of the district.

A police team during checking found that Alnoor Polyclinic, located at Bhats Complex Dangerpora Pulwama, was illegally selling scheduled drugs, particularly Pregabalin, without proper prescription, in violation of norms. The proprietor, GH Mohi-ud-Din Mir @ Imran S/o Sana Ullah Mir, was found involved in the unlawful activity. Acting swiftly, the Drug Inspector was called on the spot for necessary action.

Upon inspection and in view of clear violation of SOPs, the clinic was sealed on the spot and its licence has been suspended as per law.

Pulwama Police remains committed to strict enforcement against illegal drug networks and urges the public to report any such activities to the nearest police station.
