Police intensifies probe into Pregabalin misuse in Reasi, medical shop sealed
REASI — Police in Reasi has intensified its investigation into the alleged illegal procurement and distribution of Pregabalin capsules, sealing a medical shop in Bhagtaa as part of the ongoing probe.
The action was taken in connection with FIR No. 312/2026 registered under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Police Station Katra.
During the investigation, police received information regarding the alleged procurement of Pregabalin capsules from Hari Medicos at Main Chowk, Bhagtaa. Acting on the information, a team from Police Station Katra, accompanied by the Drug Inspector, Reasi, inspected the medical shop.
The shop was subsequently sealed by the competent authorities in accordance with the applicable procedure and regulatory requirements.
Police said the investigation is underway and further action will follow based on the findings of the probe. — (KIMS)
