Nasha Mukt J&K Mega Padyatra Witnesses Massive Participation in Anantnag

Anantnag, May 09:
A massive “Nasha Mukt J&K” Mega Padyatra was held in Anantnag district on Saturday under the ongoing 100-day anti-drug campaign, drawing participation from thousands of people from different sections of society.
The padyatra was led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and started from Government Degree College Khanabal, culminating at SBI Chowk, New Basti Anantnag. Students, youth, traders, transporters, civil society members, volunteers, and government officials actively participated in the awareness rally.
Among those present on the occasion were Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Dr. Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat, MLA Dooru G. A. Mir, MLA Pahalgam Mohd. Altaf kaloo, MLA Anantnag West Abdul Majeed Larmi, MLA Shangus-Anantnag East Reyaz Ahmad Khan, senior civil and police officers, besides other public representatives.
The rally was organised to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to encourage collective action against the growing drug menace in Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking on the occasion, officials highlighted the importance of community participation in making the “Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan” successful and reiterated the administration’s commitment towards safeguarding the youth from substance abuse.
