Larnoo, Anantnag: Two persons were killed and two others injured after lightning struck in the Gawran Nard area of Larnoo in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday.

The deceased have been identified as Bilal Ahmad Batana, son of Nazir Ahmad Batana, aged 17, and Faizan Ahmad Chad, son of Mohammad Yaqoob Chad, both residents of Maethindoo.

The injured have been identified as Shareef Ahmad Batana, son of Jumma Batana, aged 17, and Sajad Ahmad Batana, son of Sain Batana, aged 18, both residents of Maethindoo.

The injured were shifted to PHC Larnoo, where their condition was reported to be stable.

According to local reports, the four youths were travelling from Lehwan towards Gawran when lightning struck, leaving two dead and two injured.
