LG pays tribute to terror victims, reaffirms resolve to eliminate terrorism

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday paid tribute to civilians killed in terrorist violence and said the Union Territory is progressing with peace, equality and inclusive development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In a post on X, Sinha said the day marked a “momentous occasion” for Jammu and Kashmir and paid homage to innocent civilians who lost their lives to terrorism.

He also saluted the families of terror victims who have received government appointment letters, saying the appointments have restored their dignity and livelihood after decades of suffering.

The Lieutenant Governor reaffirmed the administration’s resolve to dismantle the terror network, bring its perpetrators and enablers to justice, and ensure every citizen of the Union Territory enjoys a life of peace, equality and hope.

Referring to the constitutional changes of 2019, Sinha said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, “the shadows of discrimination” were lifted, ushering in a new era of social justice and inclusive development.

He added that Jammu and Kashmir is now moving forward with renewed confidence, with all-round development contributing to peace and prosperity. — (KIMS)
