LG Manoj Sinha Strongly Condemns Anantnag Terror Attack; Says Culprits Will Face Justice
DGP Briefs LG on Situation; Massive Manhunt Launched by Security Forces
Srinagar, July 22 : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Anantnag that claimed the life of a Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel, asserting that those responsible for the cowardly act will be tracked down and punished.
In a statement posted on X, the Lieutenant Governor said he spoke with Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat to review the security situation following the deadly attack.
“I strongly condemn this cowardly terror attack. This heinous act will not go unpunished,” the Lieutenant Governor said, reaffirming the government’s resolve to eliminate terrorism and ensure justice.
Expressing profound grief over the martyrdom of Head Constable Ashiq Hussain Qureshi, LG Sinha paid heartfelt tributes to the fallen police officer, who laid down his life while performing his duties.
“My heartfelt condolences to the family of Head Constable Ashiq Hussain Qureshi. The entire nation stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the family of the martyr during this hour of grief,” he said.
The Lieutenant Governor further stated that the Jammu and Kashmir Police, along with other security forces, have launched an extensive search and manhunt operation to trace and neutralise the terrorists involved in the attack.
Security agencies have intensified operations in the area, while senior officers continue to monitor the situation closely. (KNC)
