J&K Govt approves ₹6.59 crore conservation, upgradation project for historic Imambara Zadibal

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Jammu and Kashmir Government has approved a ₹6.59 crore project for the conservation and upgradation of the historic Imambara Zadibal in Srinagar, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said on Friday.

In a post on X, the Chief Minister said the project aims to preserve the heritage character of the historic Imambara while upgrading essential facilities for devotees and visitors.

Meanwhile, National Conference chief spokesperson and MLA Zadibal Tanvir Sadiq welcomed the approval, describing it as the fulfilment of a long-pending demand.

In a separate post on X, Sadiq thanked Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for approving the project and expressed satisfaction that the proposal had finally received the government’s nod. — (KIMS)
