Health Minister Reviews Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026 Arrangements in Pahalgam

Pahalgam, June 22: Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Family Welfare, Sakina Masood Itoo on Monday chaired a high-level review meeting in Pahalgam to assess the preparedness and arrangements for the forthcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026.
The meeting was attended by Pahalgam MLA Mohammad Altaf Kaloo along with senior officers from various government departments and civil administration.
During the meeting, the concerned officers briefed the Minister on the arrangements being put in place to ensure the smooth, well-organized and successful conduct of the annual pilgrimage. Detailed reviews were held regarding healthcare facilities, medical preparedness, sanitation, transportation, accommodation, security arrangements, civic amenities and other essential services for the pilgrims.
Reviewing the preparedness of all departments, Sakina Masood Itoo emphasized the need for close coordination and effective inter-departmental cooperation to ensure that devotees are provided with safe, comfortable and hassle-free facilities throughout the Yatra.
The Minister directed the concerned authorities to complete all pending works within the stipulated timeframe and maintain the highest standards of service delivery during the entire pilgrimage period.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment to the successful conduct of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026, she stated that every possible effort would be made to provide pilgrims with adequate facilities, security and necessary support, enabling them to undertake the sacred pilgrimage with ease, comfort and peace of mind.
The annual pilgrimage is scheduled to commence from July 3, with the administration and various departments working in coordination to ensure the smooth conduct of the Yatra.
