Anantnag, July 8: In a major step to improve hygiene and sanitation across the hospital, the administration of Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag has issued strict directions to sanitation workers for regular cleaning of public washrooms and other areas within the hospital premises at least three times a day.

As per the order issued by the Administrative Officer Mr. Muqbil Lateef with the approval of the Principal, GMC Anantnag, sanitation workers have been warned that failure to comply with the prescribed cleaning schedule may result in withholding of their payments.

The administration has also made it mandatory to share geo-tagged photographs and videos of cleaning activities from all hospital buildings, with special focus on wards and public washrooms, to ensure transparency and accountability.

To strengthen monitoring, a daily cleanliness recording format has been introduced, and Quality Control Inspectors have been designated to supervise and verify sanitation work on a regular basis.

The order has come into effect immediately and is aimed at maintaining a cleaner, safer, and more hygienic environment for patients, attendants, and hospital staff.
