Ensure adequate water supply in Ramadhan : SMC Commissioner to officials
Srinagar, April 7: SMC Commissioner Athar Amin Khan on Wednesday held a meeting to finalize the modalities regarding transfer of water works Division to SMC in his office Chamber here at Karan Nagar.
A statement issued by SMC to KNS reads, ” City Municipal Commissioner took review of Manpower, schemes and the undergoing projects. The issues and the measures to be taken regarding supply and demands under Jal Shakti department within SMC limits were also discussed at length.”
Besides Chief Engineer PHE ,Joint Commissioner Adm , Joint Commissioner Works and other officilas attended the meeting.
During the course of meeting, Athar stressed on the officials to expedite the finalization of action plan to be submitted for the current year.
He also deliberated upon various issues including the financial aspects and emphasized that all necessary measures should be taken for adequate and uninterrupted water supply to the citizens of Srinagar especially in the upcoming holy month of Ramadhaan. (KNS)
