DC Anantnag Visits Fire Victims at GMC, Assures Full Support

 

Anantnag, May 12: Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Dr. Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat on Monday visited Government Medical College Anantnag and met the victims injured in the tragic fire incident at a seminary in the main town during the intervening night of May 11 and 12.

The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by the ADC, AO GMC, Tehsildar Anantnag, Medical Superintendent AH GMC and other concerned officials.

During the visit, Dr. Bilal interacted with the injured persons and enquired about their health condition, treatment and recovery. He also reviewed the healthcare facilities being provided to the victims and directed the medical staff to ensure the best possible treatment and proper medical care for the injured.

Expressing sympathy with the affected families, the DC assured them of all possible support from the district administration. He also prayed for eternal peace to the soul of the student who lost his life in the incident and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

The Deputy Commissioner also inspected various sections of the hospital and interacted with patients and attendants to assess the quality of healthcare services, availability of medicines and punctuality of the medical staff.

He emphasized that providing seamless and patient-friendly healthcare remains a top priority for the district administration and instructed the GMC authorities to maintain high standards of patient care so that no patient faces inconvenience.
