CM Omar Abdullah inaugurates ASCEND J&K 2026 startup ecosystem summit in Srinagar
SRINAGAR (KIMS) — Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday inaugurated ASCEND J&K 2026, the Startup Ecosystem Summit, at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar.
In a post on X, the Chief Minister said he interacted with startup founders and student innovators, distributed seed-funding support, witnessed the signing of key Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and launched several initiatives aimed at strengthening the startup ecosystem across Jammu and Kashmir.
Abdullah reaffirmed the government’s commitment to fostering a vibrant culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, enabling young people to transform their ideas into successful enterprises.
He said the initiatives are aimed at promoting innovation-led growth while creating employment opportunities and contributing to the economic development of Jammu and Kashmir. — (KIMS)
