CM launches ₹23.04 crore e-Bus depot project in Jammu; 100 more e-buses to be added
JAMMU (KIMS) — Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday laid the foundation stone for a new e-Bus Depot at Bhagwati Nagar in Jammu, to be constructed at a cost of ₹23.04 crore.
According to a post on X by the Office of the Chief Minister, the project is aimed at strengthening the public transport infrastructure in the Jammu region.
The post said that 100 additional electric buses are also being procured under the PM e-Bus Sewa Scheme to augment the existing fleet.
The government said the initiatives will enhance urban mobility in Jammu by providing residents with cleaner, greener and more reliable public transport services. — (KIMS)
