CIK Cracks Down Across Kashmir: Massive Search Operation in UAPA Case, Digital Devices and Key Documents Seized
Srinagar, June 27: In a major counter-intelligence operation, the CID Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) on Saturday carried out coordinated searches at multiple locations across the Kashmir Valley in connection with FIR No. 07/2023, registered under provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Officials told ANN News that the searches were conducted after obtaining warrants from the competent court and were executed in accordance with due legal process as part of an ongoing investigation to collect evidence and establish facts related to the case.

The case has been registered under Sections 153-A, 505 and 506 of the IPC, along with Sections 13, 18, 18-B and 39 of the UAPA.
According to officials, several documents and digital devices with potential evidentiary value were seized during the operation. The seized material will now undergo forensic and technical examination in accordance with the law.
Officials told ANN News that the search operation is part of the CIK’s continuing efforts to investigate activities linked to the case and gather admissible evidence. They did not disclose the identities of those searched or confirm any arrests, stating that the investigation is still underway.
