CCIK Holds Executive Meeting, Discusses Key Civic and Trade Issues; 23 Prominent Businessmen Join the Chamber
The Chamber of Commerce & Industry Kashmir (CCIK) today convened an Executive Committee meeting at the Amar Singh Club under the chairmanship of CCIK President Tarik Ghani. The meeting was attended by the office bearers, Executive Committee members, and a large number of stakeholders representing various sectors of the trade and business community.
During the meeting, stakeholders highlighted several pressing issues affecting businesses and the general public. The major concerns discussed included unscheduled power cuts, acute water scarcity, growing traffic congestion, inadequate maintenance of Smart City infrastructure, and the excessive installation of hoardings in the city centre. Members unanimously resolved that these issues would be taken up with the concerned authorities on priority for immediate redressal.
A significant highlight of the meeting was the joining of more than 23 prominent businessmen from Srinagar into the CCIK fold. The Chamber welcomed the new members and expressed confidence that their association would further strengthen the collective voice of the business community.
Addressing the gathering, President Tarik Ghani reiterated CCIK’s commitment to safeguarding the interests of the trade and industry of Kashmir. He emphasized that the Chamber will continue to work proactively with the administration to ensure timely resolution of issues affecting commerce and economic growth.
The Chamber also urged the wider business fraternity across Kashmir to join CCIK and contribute towards making the organization more vibrant, representative, and effective in addressing the challenges faced by the trade community. A united and stronger Chamber, the members observed, is essential for protecting and promoting the interests of businesses across the region.
