Anantnag Police Seal Three Medical Stores in Aishmuqam Over Record Discrepancies

Continuing its drive against the illegal sale, misuse, and diversion of medicines, Anantnag Police, in coordination with officials from the Drug Control Department, carried out inspections of medical establishments within the jurisdiction of Police Station Aishmuqam.
During the inspection, authorities обнаруж detected discrepancies and irregularities in the maintenance of mandatory records and stock registers at several medical stores operating in Arigohal.
The establishments found in violation include:
Ibaad Medicate Chemists and Druggists, Arigohal
Bilal Raina Medicate, Arigohal
Ganie Medical Store, Arigohal
Following the выявленные violations, all three medical stores were sealed on the spot by the competent authorities in accordance with legal provisions, pending further inquiry and necessary legal proceedings.
Anantnag Police reiterated that, in close coordination with line departments, it will continue to maintain strict vigilance against the unlawful sale, stocking, and misuse of pharmaceutical and controlled substances. The department also reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding public health and curbing substance abuse in the region.
