CM reviews winter preparedness, directs departments to ensure essential services
SRINAGAR — Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday chaired a comprehensive review meeting at the Civil Secretariat in Srinagar to assess winter preparedness across Kashmir and Jammu divisions.
The meeting reviewed snow clearance arrangements, advance stocking of essential food supplies, fuel and medicines, and the round-the-clock readiness of emergency services and control rooms.
Emphasising proactive planning, inter-departmental coordination and timely response, the Chief Minister directed all concerned departments to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply, maintain road connectivity and prioritise public safety and convenience throughout the winter season. — (KIMS)
