Two arrested with 6.65 grams heroin-like substance in Reasi
REASI — Jammu and Kashmir Police in Reasi arrested two persons and recovered 6.65 grams of heroin-like substance from their possession during naka checking in Katra, officials said.
The two were intercepted by a police party from Police Station Katra while they were walking from Balini towards the Katra Bus Stand at Chungi Point around 8:50 pm on September 29.
The accused were identified as Vinay Kumar, a resident of Bhagtha, Katra, and Deepak Gupta, a resident of Main Bazar, Katra.
Police said an FIR under Sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Katra and an investigation is underway to establish the source and intended recipients of the contraband. — (KIMS)
