Police arrest inter-state drug peddler in Jammu, heroin-like substance recovered
JAMMU — Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested an inter-state drug peddler and recovered 21.04 grams of heroin-like substance from his possession in the Domana area of Jammu, police said on Tuesday.
The accused, identified as Rohit Kumar, son of Tarsem Lal, a resident of Labour Colony, Jawahar Nagar Camp, Ludhiana, was apprehended by a team of Police Station Domana at Machine Domana following specific information, police said.
During his personal search, 21.04 grams of heroin-like substance was recovered and seized as per legal procedure.
Police said an FIR (No. 207/2026) under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Domana and the accused has been arrested.
Further investigation is underway to establish the forward and backward linkages of the alleged drug network. — (KIMS)
