Two terrorists killed in joint operation in Udhampur: Army
JAMMU — Two terrorists were killed in a joint intelligence-based counter-terrorism operation in the Brattal area of Udhampur district during the intervening night of September 16-17, the Army said on Thursday.
The operation was launched by troops of the White Knight Corps along with Jammu and Kashmir Police and the CRPF following confirmed inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area, the Army said in a post on X.
Despite hostile weather, difficult terrain and poor visibility, security forces carried out the targeted operation, resulting in the neutralisation of two terrorists, it said.
The operation remains underway, with search and surveillance operations continuing in the area to detect any remaining threat, according to the Army. — (KIMS)
