J&K govt approves Chief Minister’s Digital Internship Programme 2026
SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Jammu and Kashmir government has approved the Chief Minister’s Digital Internship Programme 2026 (Batch-I), a six-month paid initiative aimed at providing students with hands-on experience in government technology projects.
The programme will be executed by the J&K e-Governance Agency and will be open to eligible students from BE/B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA and M.Sc. (CS/IT) backgrounds.
Under the initiative, interns will gain practical exposure to GovTech, cybersecurity and digital services, while receiving mentorship from experts working in the field.
Selected interns will receive a monthly stipend of ₹10,000. They will also be awarded certificates signed by the Chief Minister, while top-performing projects will be recognised with a ‘Best Intern Initiative Award’.
The government said the programme is aimed at empowering young people, recognising merit and harnessing local talent to address real-world governance challenges through technology. — (KIMS)
