social media activity is being undertaken to ascertain the nature and extent of the
online activity, sources and dissemination of the radical material, associated accounts
and contacts, and any possible linkages requiring further investigation.
The general public, especially parents and young social-media user are advised
to remain alert and use social-media platforms responsibly. People should avoid
sharing or forwarding content that glorifies terrorism, promotes extremist ideas,
encourages violence or hatred or attempts to influence or radicalise. Social Media
users should also avoid engaging with suspicious accounts or unknown persons who
circulate such content. Moreover, any suspicious or extremist content on social-media
platforms should be reported to police instead of forwarding or further circulating such
material.
