Waheed Para slams Giriraj Singh over ‘terrorist’ remark on Mehbooba Mufti
SRINAGAR (KIMS) — PDP leader Waheed Para on Tuesday strongly criticised Union Minister Giriraj Singh for referring to PDP president Mehbooba Mufti as a “terrorist”, calling the remarks “outrageous, irresponsible and beneath the dignity of a Union Minister.”
In a post on X, the PDP MLA said the language used against a former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and a senior Muslim woman leader reflected “nothing but prejudice and political intolerance.”
The legislator further said the remarks were “not a political statement” but “a reflection of Giriraj Singh’s own mindset.”
The criticism comes amid a fresh political row over the Union Minister’s remarks targeting the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti. — (KIMS)
