Three minor children from Rajasthan drown in Jammu
Jammu, Jul 11: Three minor children including a girl, a native of Rajasthan, drowned in a tragic incident in the outskirts of Jammu district on Saturday, officials said.
The children reportedly entered a pond to bathe at village Dhanwal in Jouria area of Akhnoor when they drowned, the officials said.
The officials identified the deceased as Chand (12), Abhishek (11) and Bhagwan Sahai (8) and said their bodies were fished out by police from the water body.
The bodies were shifted to a nearby hospital for medico-legal formalities, while police have initiated proceedings to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the incident, the officials said.
They said the parents of the deceased were working at a brick klin in the village. (PTI)
