Counter Intelligence Kashmir Attaches Property in Militant-Terror Funding Probe
Srinagar, July 1: In a significant step against alleged militant-terror financing networks, the Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) has attached an immovable property in Srinagar as part of an ongoing investigation under the law, a senior police officer confirmed to ANN News.
According to officials, the action was carried out following the orders of the designated court in connection with FIR No. 07/2020, registered at Police Station CIK Humhama.
The official notice displayed at the property states that it is linked to Mubeen Ahmad Shah, a resident of Buchwara, Srinagar. The notice also warns the public against purchasing, leasing, transferring, or creating any third-party interest in the property without prior permission from the competent authority or the designated court.
Speaking to ANN News, a senior police officer said the move is part of the agency’s sustained efforts to dismantle financial networks allegedly linked to activities that threaten national security. He added that legal action would continue strictly in accordance with the law and judicial procedures.
Officials have advised the public not to enter into any financial or legal transaction involving the attached property until further directions are issued by the competent court.
The police also clarified that the attachment of the property forms part of an ongoing legal investigation. It does not by itself establish criminal guilt, which will be determined through the judicial process.
Authorities reiterated that counter-terror financing remains a key priority, with investigative agencies continuing to focus on identifying and disrupting financial channels suspected of supporting unlawful activities while ensuring that all actions are taken within the framework of the law.
