Pahalgam Accident: Two Dead, Several Injured in Aru Mishap

Anantnag, June 17: At least two persons lost their lives and several others sustained injuries after a vehicle met with an accident in the Aru area of Pahalgam on Wednesday.

According to initial reports, a Swift vehicle was involved in the accident. Rescue teams immediately rushed to the spot and launched an operation to evacuate the victims. Two bodies have been recovered so far, while several injured persons have been shifted for medical treatment.

Sources said the occupants of the vehicle bearing registration number JK03c -6737 were residents of the Pethbugh Dialgam area of Anantnag district. One of the deceased has been identified as Imran Ahmad Ganie, who was reportedly driving the vehicle.

The rescue operation was still underway at the time of filing this report, and officials are working to ascertain the exact circumstances that led to the accident.
