4 JKAP IR Battalion Organizes Plantation Drive on World Environment Day
Kupwara, June 05: In observance of World Environment Day, 4 JKAP IR Battalion organized a Plantation Drive at Battalion Headquarters, Wayen, Kupwara, on 05 June 2026. The programme was conducted in compliance with the directions issued by higher authorities to promote environmental conservation and sustainable development.
The drive led by Shri Ravinder Pal Singh, Commandant, 4 JKAP IR, witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 120 officers and officials, including Gazetted Officers. During the event, a large number of indigenous and environmentally suitable saplings were planted across the Battalion premises with the objective of enhancing green cover, combating environmental degradation, and promoting a healthier ecosystem.
The event reflected the Battalion’s strong sense of social responsibility and dedication towards environmental sustainability. Adequate publicity of the programme was ensured through photographs and videography for wider dissemination and public awareness.
The plantation drive concluded successfully with all participants taking a pledge to protect and nurture the planted saplings and to continue contributing towards a cleaner, greener, and healthier environment.
