Anantnag Police Cracks GMC Dialgam Theft Case in Record Time, Recovers Stolen Electronics

Anantnag, May 13: In a major breakthrough, Anantnag Police solved a theft case reported at Government Medical College Dialgam involving stolen electronic gadgets, including a desktop computer, a high-end laptop and other accessories.

Following the complaint, Police Post Dialgam launched a prompt enquiry and carried out a detailed investigation. During the investigation, bank transaction details of several suspects were collected and analysed, which helped police identify suspicious transactions linked to two individuals.

During sustained interrogation, one accused identified as Fahad Bilal, son of Bilal Ahmad, resident of Bangdar Danter, confessed to his involvement in the theft along with another accused, Aazan Bhat of Moominabad.

Acting on the disclosure of the accused, police recovered all stolen electronic items including the desktop computer, laptop and other accessories.

Police said that a case under FIR No. 142/2026 under sections 331 and 305(E) of BNS has already been registered at the concerned police station, while further investigation is underway.

Anantnag Police reiterated its commitment towards protecting public property and taking strict action against those involved in criminal activities.
