17-year-old apprehended with heroin-like substance in Samba
JAMMU (KIMS) — Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday apprehended a 17-year-old Child in Conflict with Law (CCL) and recovered approximately 3.36 grams of heroin-like substance from his possession in Bari Brahmana area of Samba district.
According to a police statement, a police team from Police Station Bari Brahmana, while conducting patrolling duty in JDA Colony, intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02DM-7933, which was travelling from Balole Khad towards JDA Colony.
During checking, approximately 3.36 grams of heroin-like substance was recovered from the possession of the 17-year-old rider, police said.
The CCL was apprehended and the recovered contraband along with the motorcycle was seized in accordance with law.
In this connection, FIR No. 241/2026 under Sections 8/21/22/25 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bari Brahmana and investigation initiated.
Police said the CCL was subsequently produced before the competent authority and sent to the Observation Home at R.S. Pura, Jammu. — (KIMS)
