No Water Supply in Srinagar from April 21–23: Officials told ANN News
Srinagar: Authorities have announced that water supply across Srinagar will remain affected for 48 hours from April 21 (6:00 a.m.) to April 23 (6:00 a.m.) due to urgent repair work.
Officials from the Water Works Division told ANN News that the shutdown is necessary to carry out essential repairs on the Sindh Power Canal (Phase-II).
An official said the maintenance work is critical to ensure long-term improvement and stability in water supply across the city.
The Executive Engineer, Water Works Division Srinagar, has issued a public notice advising residents to store sufficient water in advance to avoid inconvenience during the disruption.
Residents have been urged to cooperate with the authorities as the temporary suspension is aimed at strengthening the overall water supply system.
