MLA Budgam, Adv Aga Muntazir Mehdi Offers to Personally Fight Legal Battle in Galwampora Minor Rape and Murder Case
Budgam, May 26: MLA Budgam and noted Advocate Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi has expressed profound grief and outrage over the brutal rape and murder of a 12-year-old girl in the Galwampora area of Budgam, describing the incident as horrifying and a stain on humanity.
In a statement issued today, Aga Muntazir said the gruesome crime has shaken the conscience of the entire society and called for exemplary punishment for those involved. He said the pain and trauma suffered by the victim’s family cannot be expressed in words and justice must be ensured in the strongest possible manner.
Highlighting his role as an Advocate, the MLA announced that he would personally assist and fight the legal battle for the victim’s family to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice.
“As an Advocate , a citizen and people’s representative from Budgam , I consider it my moral and legal responsibility to stand with the family in this difficult time. I will personally extend every possible legal assistance and support to ensure justice is delivered and no guilty person escapes accountability,” he said.
He demanded a swift, transparent and time-bound investigation into the case and urged the administration to act firmly and decisively against those responsible.
Aga Muntazir also appealed to the people to remain united and support the bereaved family, saying society must collectively raise its voice against such heinous crimes and ensure justice for the innocent victim.
