Anti-Pakistan Protest Outside UN Office in Srinagar Over Civilian Killings in PoJK

Srinagar, June 9: A protest was staged outside the United Nations Office in Sonwar, Srinagar, on Monday against the reported killing of innocent civilians in Pakistan-occupied Jammu & Kashmir (PoJK).

According to reports, Human Rights Activist Javeed Ahmed Baigh, a resident of Beerwah in Budgam district, along with several associates, gathered outside the UN Office and raised strong slogans condemning the alleged human rights violations in PoJK.
The protesters carried placards bearing messages such as “Pakistan Massacres Innocent Kashmiris in PoJK” and “Stop Killing Innocents”, demanding immediate international attention to the situation.

During the demonstration, participants urged global human rights organizations and the United Nations to take cognizance of the reported civilian deaths and alleged suppression of dissent in Pakistan-occupied Jammu & Kashmir.
A memorandum highlighting the concerns of the protesters was also prepared for submission to the United Nations office, seeking intervention to protect civilian lives and ensure accountability for human rights violations in the region.
The protest remained peaceful and concluded after the participants reiterated their demand for justice and international action regarding the situation in PoJK.
