Crackdown Intensifies: Srinagar Police Targets Drug Kingpins’ ₹3.5 Crore Assets
Srinagar, April 25, 2026: In a significant step under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, Srinagar Police have attached immovable properties worth approximately ₹3.5 crore belonging to individuals involved in drug trafficking.
Officials said the action was taken under relevant provisions of the NDPS Act, where two residential properties along with land were seized. These properties are linked to accused persons already involved in a registered narcotics case.
According to police, the attached assets include double-storey residential houses with adjoining land, identified as being acquired through proceeds of illegal drug trade. The move is part of a broader strategy to dismantle drug networks not only by arresting offenders but also by targeting their financial infrastructure.
Authorities stated that such strict measures are aimed at sending a strong message and deterring individuals involved in narcotics-related activities.
Srinagar Police have urged the public to cooperate and share any information related to drug trafficking, reaffirming their commitment to building a safer, drug-free society.
